International market is the main funding source in 2016
In September, two Brazilian companies returned to the international market: Minerva and BRF raised 1 bln dollars and 500 mln dollars, respectively, through bond issues. As a result, in the year through September, international operations accounted for most of the funding raised by Brazilian firms, totaling 19 bln dollars, 136% more than in the same period last year. Using the average period dollar as the currency conversion rate, this was equivalent to 67.3 bln reais, higher than domestic market funding operations, which totaled 52.4 bln reais in the same period.
