Annual Report
ANBIMA
2011
To inform
One of the ways in which the Association seeks
to promote business and the development of
financial and capital markets is by providing
information, statistics, and analytical material
on the segments represented by the entity. In
recognition of the critical role that transparency
and access to timely and reliable information
plays in well-functioning markets, ANBIMA
constantly contributes to the construction of
databases and support tools for asset pricing, in
order to encourage business, liquidity and the
consequent market development.
The year 2011 was marked by the launch
of Panorama, a report that was released
in November and offers monthly analysis
of the performance of the capital markets,
the investment funds industry and the fixed
income segment. With the new publication, the
Association integrates analytical content on
the market, based on statistics compiled and
traditionally disclosed by the entity.
On another front, the scope of information
periodically released by ANBIMA grew during
the year. The Private Banking and Project
Financing Bulletins were released. The former
brought unprecedented, aggregate information
about the private banking market in Brazil,
painting the first statistical picture of the local
segment, with information about managed
assets, the number of clients and their
geographical distribution, in addition to the
qualification of professionals that operate in the
private sector.
