Annual Report
ANBIMA
2011
To Qualify
One of the pillars for sustainable development
of the financial and capital markets is the
qualification, in a broad sense, of investors and
professionals who work in the market. ANBIMA
promotes and supports several initiatives to
help to insure that investors have access to
training and information that aids them in
making strong decisions about their investment
decisions. The Association also maintains an
extensive professional certification program,
in addition to offering courses and training,
which reflects their commitment to improve and
preserve the quality of service for investors.
In 2011, ANBIMA’s Certification Program,
established in November 2002, registered a 16%
growth from the previous year and reached 259.8
thousand certificates issued. This number includes
the following certifications: CPA-10, CPA-20,
CGA (Manager’s ANBIMA Certification) and CEA
(
Investment Specialists’ ANBIMA Certification). In
total, 65.9 thousand candidates were provided
exams and more than 28 thousand received
the CPA-10 certification, nearly 7.8 thousand
obtained the CPA-20 certification, and 280
were certified by CGA and CEA, totaling 36.5
thousand certificates issued in 2011.
The growth in certified professionals is due,
in part, to the expansion of the application of
CPA-10 and CPA-20 tests. In 2011, the tests
began being conducted in all of the states
within Brazil. Macapá (AM), Maceió (AL), Rio
Branco (AC), Porto Velho (RO) and Palmas (TO)
were the capitals that started providing test
centers for the application of online tests.
